DOUBLE 7 FILM and PARTY REBEL Present a monthly film industry networking event.
Every last Tuesday of the Month at Drom NYC
Hosted by Pete Chatmon & Forrest Renaissance
Here is a list of small venues that have cheap deals on movies around the city:
Brooklyn Heights Cinema
This theatre is a hidden treasure. They offer a $6 Tuesday and Thursday night special every week. The featured films include types like little indies, foriegn, and art films that you can only find in Manhattan. It is cool and laid back with a friendly staff. It is close to Brooklyn Heights Prominade and the Brooklyn Bridge. I hear that there is some delicious Noodle Pudding a few blocks away from the venue, and the concession has great coffee too!

Center Cinemas in Queens
Center Cinemas offers $5 films every Tuesday. It is close by, cheap, and kind of a throwback which makes it cool. The nachos are stale, the cheese is disgusting, and the projectors compete with the sound of the movie, yet the venue is an experience… a landmark! This is where you go when you want to get out of the house and do something fun. It’s like you’re back in the 90’s and I love it.

Cobble Hill Cinemas
This is a place for more mainstream films. All shows before 5PM are $6.50, all shows Tuesday and Thursday are $6.50, and the first shows on Saturdays and Sundays are $6.50. The overall space is cozy, 5 screens in total (2 digital), and the bathrooms are always clean and tidy. You will never have a problem with long lines, crowded theaters, or screaming toddlers. Just steps away from the venue are a variety of different restaurants and places to grab drinks. This is the perfect place to impress a date… without emptying your wallet!
